Energy Secretary Chris Huhne to face charges & lose cabinet position

Energy Secretary Chris Huhne is to be charged with perverting the course of justice over allegations he persuaded his wife to accept speeding penalty points on his behalf.
The televised announcement was made at 10am by Director of Public Prosecutions Keir Starmer.
An announcement is expected later today on an urgent cabinet reshuffle which is expected to see Chris Huhne replaced by Ed Davey the Junior Business Secretary, with Norman Lamb replacing Mr Davey.
In recent weeks Chris Huhne has come under increased pressure over his handling of the Feed in Tariff cuts which have seen the Solar PV industry thrown into disarray.
